Obituary
Dr. Jack Fred Halickman
Palm Beach Gardens - It is with profound sadness that the family of Dr. Jack Fred Halickman shares the news of his passing on Tuesday November 2nd, 2021 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida at the age of 69. He was the loving son of the late Connie and late David Halickman. He leaves behind his loving wife Doreen Halickman, his dear children Michele and son-in-law Darren Meyers, Joshua Halickman and daughter-in-law Rachel Freed, his youngest daughter Kate and his beautiful grandchildren Noah and Abigail Meyers, and Hannah and Caleb Halickman. Adored brother and brother-in-law of Shirley Merling and Irwin Light (and the late Jerry Merling) and Sandra Agulnik and the late Earl Agulnik. Much loved uncle of Warren Merling, Melissa Burman, Dr. Jason Agulnik and Dr. Mark Agulnik and their families. He will be sadly missed by his in-laws Sylvia and Greg Bonadies and the extended Bonadies family and his many family, friends, patients and colleagues. With great appreciation to his close friend of many years Dr. Carmen Balzano for all of his support to the family.
Born and raised in Montreal, Jack was a graduate of McGill University and received his medical degree from the University Grenoble in France. Jack had a unique love for the practice of medicine, and he deeply cared for everyone who set foot into his office. He was happiest when taking care of others and remained dedicated to his patients, practicing medicine until his final days. Jack was a doctor's doctor, he was compassionate and freely gave his time to his patients, he believed in service to the profession, and generously gave his time to mentor residents and other physicians.
Jack was a patron of the arts, loved attending the theater and live music, and always encouraged others to come with him. Jack loved Florida where he had spent time since his early adulthood and which became his full-time home in 2005. He was happiest sitting by the ocean, enjoying the sun, and spending time with his many friends and family.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 12 noon. Burial at the Old Nusach Hoari Congregation Cemetery, de, la Savane. Shiva private. A memorial service will be held at Beach Point, 2660 South Ocean Boulevard, Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday November 14, 2021 at 4:00 pm with Rabbi Michael Resnick. Donations in memory of Dr. Halickman may be made to Doctors Without Borders, Anti-Defamation League or Alpert Jewish Family Services.
Jack will be deeply missed by the medical community of Palm Beach Gardens who considered him a colleague and a friend.
